Sometimes I listen to…
I like Music. No scrap that, I LOVE MUSIC. No, it’s not my life, but truly, an essential part of my life. I don’t eat music, sleep music or live music instead, I feel music. There is nothing like bad music, we just have different tastes. They call me old-fashioned, ‘cos I listen to the following, more often than others (in no particular order):
- Jimmy Page (Flashing Lights, Going to California)
- CCR
- Cream
- Led Zeppelin
- Deep Purple (Space Trucking)
- Bad Company (Stranger stranger, Feel like making love)
- Van Halen (Ain’t talkin’ ‘bout love, Right now, Eruption)
- AC/DC
- Robert Plant (Louie Louie, Heaven knows, Let the boggie woogie roll)
- Pink Floyd
- The Allman Brothers Band (Ramblin’ man)
- The Yardbirds (Drinking muddy water, Here ‘tis)
- Queen
- The Black Crowes (Out on the tiles)
- Faces (We feel, Cyclone)
- Rick Derringer (Rock & roll hoochie koo)
- Zodiac n Black (Making an enemy)
- Jimi Hendrix
- The Doors
- Wishbone Ash (Warrior, The king will come, Mother of Pearl)
- Nazareth (Hair of the dog, Razamanaz)
- The Strange Sensation (Somebody knocking, Pan valley)
- Budgie (Hold on the love)
- Page & Plant (Rude world)
- Black Sabbath
- Grand Railroad Funk
- The Who
- The Beatles
- John Paul Jones (It’s coming)
- Dire Straits (Where do you think you’re going?, Sultans of swing)
- Fleetwood Mac (Family man)
- Thin Lizzy (Dancing in the moonlight)
- ZZ Top (Esther be the one, Planet of women, Gun love)
- Foghat (Take me to the river)
- Lynyrd Skynyrd (Run run rudolph, Devil in the bottle)
- Ten Years Later (I’m going home)
- Foghat (I just want to make love to you)
- Urian Heep
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Steve Miller Band
- The Animals (We gotta get out of this place)
- David Coverdale (She give me)
- Eric Clapton
- The Rolling Stones
- Humble Pie
- The J. Geils Band (Centrefold)
But still:
“There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes,
By the deep sea and the music in its roar;
I love not man the less, but Nature more”
